A Glimpse of My Successful Weekend

I’m happy to say that the weekend has come to a successful and satisfying end for me. Saturday night I enjoyed a night on the town with a very cool friend and today I hosted dinner guests at home.
Last night I ate at my favorite Thai restaurant, and it was easy to stay within my WW points for the day. And earlier tonight i served pot roast with carrots, mashed potatoes, salad and spanakopita (that Nick’s sister taught me how to make a few months ago.) They really liked it, as did I! We played card games, had dessert, coffee, etc. And I managed to stay within my points.

Last night, my friend, Christine wanted to bring me to an Italian pastry shop that she first went to with Nick years ago. It’s been open since the late 1800’s, and it was completely packed at 10pm. When I tasted a lobster tail I understood why. 😉 So…I ate a bite of that and a few bites of a Napoleon, and it was the best Napoleon I’ve ever had. I skipped the cannoli, but it’s easy to see why my friends think it’s the best they’ve ever eaten.

Before I ate, I calculated how much I should have. I thought things through, and it feels really good to know that I could thoroughly enjoy my weekend while maintaining a healthy balance.
