I was in Connecticut this afternoon, and I ate lunch at Chili’s with a friend. Christine is awesome because she doesn’t mind that I’m obsessed with counting points or looking at nutrition facts. In fact, I couldn’t ask for anyone to be more encouraging.
Anyway, I checked the nutritional information before ordering, and my favorite meal, Chicken Crispers, went on the list of things I won’t eat today — or ever again, ever.
Here’s the basic nutritional information for Chicken Crispers at Chili’s:
Fat: 130g (yes, 130 grams of fat..!!!!)
Saturated Fat: 27g
The Crispers are fried so I knew there would be tons of fat, but I never would have imagined it would be nearly that fattening.
That being said, I have no interest in becoming some judgmental, preachy person, but I know that I can never, ever, ever subject myself to Chicken Crispers again…ever. They’re not that good. 😉 On a normal day it doesn’t matter anyway because we don’t have tons of chain restaurants here. (I think it’s because the rent is so high?)
I just wanted to share the burdens of my healthy lifestyle because it makes it a little bit easier. 😉
