Book Swap Reminder: Sign Up By Tuesday, July 21

After going back to the bookstore today I realized that I need to stop buying books for a while. But I probably won’t because I’ll read these in the next few weeks.

Anyway, I decided to post the details of my Beach Book Swap again just in case you missed it.

Whether you’re an avid reader or just wish you were, taking part in a book swap is a great way to get a new book (on the cheap) and to get to know some good people. If you are interested in taking part in my first book swap then read the details below.

Here’s the plan:

If you own a book that you think we would enjoy (preferably something uplifting, that has a happy theme,) sign up by leaving a comment then e-mail me with your mailing address before July 21. And on Wednesday, July 22 I will e-mail you with another participant’s mailing address. Then we should all mail out our books, along with something that represents our part of the country, by July 25 then just look forward to our new book’s arrival.

Once you receive it, blog about what you received, maybe even give us your opinion after it has been read. The book you send can obviously be used, but make sure it’s in good condition for the next person who reads it. 🙂

And everyone who blogs about the book they’ve received by August 3rd, will be entered into a contest to receive a new copy of one of my favorite books and a little gift card to Starbucks. Just leave a comment on my blog so I know to check yours! =)

Reading is good for the mind and soul. And though we are all busy people, I think it’s utterly important to read because it reminds us that the world is much bigger than our little part of it. 🙂
