Friend Makin' Mondays Motivation Vacation

Friend Makin’ Monday: Vacation

Friend Makin’ Monday is being hosted by Jolanthe at No Ordinary Moments this week because Kasey is still on vacation.   I’m on vacation too, by the way so today’s topic is perfect for me.  I am writing my post from my balcony as I overlook the ocean.  🙂

The topic is vacation. If you would like to take part in FMM, just click here for the details. Now for the the questions:

1. Tell us about the best {or worst} vacation that you’ve ever taken.
2. Tell us FIVE places/vacations that you would like to take at some point your life. It doesn’t have to be next year…maybe it’s the vacation of a lifetime or somewhere you just dream of going years from now.

1) I’ve never really been on a bad vacation, but I’ve been on several amazing ones like the first time I went to Europe. My favorite castle, Neuschwanstein (in Germany) was a beautiful and majestic place! We walked up a mountain trail to get to the top which took about 45 minutes if I remember correctly. I would love to see it again, and I am sure I will in the next year or two. Last week, I mentioned that I traveled around Europe with a vocal ensemble, and one of our first performances took place in this castle.

1a) My favorite vacation as an adult (so far) was our trip to Atlantis last year (on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.) I also went to Aruba a few months ago, which was beautiful though the Bahamas still ranks at the top. During both vacations we stayed at 5-star resorts, and had a relaxing time by the pool, by the ocean, in the casino (and for me) in the shops. 🙂 I even won a few thousand dollars in the casino at Atlantis..! We’re going to be casino tonight near the island we’re on all week. So please wish me luck as I try to win tonight, will you? 🙂

2) We go on several trips a year (which makes me feel like the luckiest girl ever.) For Christmas last year, I gave Nick a trip to Las Vegas which was SO much fun. And we take a trip to the Caribbean in late winter/early spring then travel domestically a few times throughout the year. But there’s one place that boyfriend and I both want to go to though we haven’t yet: Greece.

So a few weeks ago, we decided that when I reach my first big weight- loss goal that we will go. Isn’t that awesome?! When I lose 200 pounds we will travel to Greece to see the beautiful sites then to lay on the amazing beaches. I’ve lost 36.2 so far, but I’m confident that I’ll reach this goal in the next 18 to 24 months. And when I do, I’ll take another “trip of a lifetime” because seeing the Parthenon for the first time will be an incredible thing! 🙂 If I needed anymore motivation something would definitely be wrong with me. Hehe Greece will just be the icing on the most delicious cake I’ve never eaten. 🙂

Now I’d like to know about your vacations and dream vacations. Either post a comment or click here for the details. Now I must get back to enjoying my current vacation which isn’t too shabby either. 😉 See?

Neuschwanstein castle is like from a fairy tale. You are so lucky that you have been there. I would like to see it also.
