I’ve been joking, for the last few weeks, that Mark Teixeira should be my new boyfriend. In case you don’t know who he is, he’s one of the cutest Yankees on their current roster (second only to Xavier Nady who is injured.)
Anyway, baseball has been a big theme for me since I moved to New York so today (when I was worried about my impending weigh-in) my supportive, loving and all-around awesome boyfriend said to me “You don’t have to be ahead at the end of every inning. You just have to keep playing the game.” (Isn’t he brilliant? I know. hehe)
And he’s right…it won’t always be easy, but it will always be worth it. I’m totally lucky to have someone who is so supportive and wonderful. Yay for me. 🙂
I was worried about weighing in today, but my weight stayed the same. I’m satisfied with that because I really did not deserve to lose three pounds this week. I didn’t deserve to gain either because I controlled my portions and exercised. But I’m telling you, friends…when I have more than 2400 mg of sodium per day, I retain water. And as much as I’d love to, I can’t hide it when I step on the scale.
It’s not rocket science though I felt like a genius when I finally figured out how much sodium I should be taking in. Fiber intake is also important, and I did not have as much this week as usual.
I learned a few things about myself this week so I’ll share them soon. And I’m looking forward to seeing the fruits of my labors in the next week.
