Friend Makin' Mondays

Friend Makin’ Monday

It’s time for FMM again, and I’m excited about Amber’s 20 Questions this week. If you’d like to join the fun, just click here.

FMM: 20 Questions

1. Do you cook every night?
No, but I cook more now than I did last year.  I do not eat fast food (except Chick-fil-a, a few times a year when I’m near one.)  But I eat dinner out every Thursday with friends and usually order in once a week or so.  I’m tired of takeout, and trying to be healthy on a regular basis so cooking at home is something I’m trying to do more often.  Tonight I’m making stir-fry with spaghetti quash and pork. Yum!

2. What kind of laundry detergent do you use & why?
Tide…it just seems like the thing to do.

3. Do you do laundry every day or loads at a time?

4. How often do you eat out per week?
A few times a week…

5. Where do you usually eat out?
My favorite Thai restaurant and my favorite Italian restaurant…and sometimes I order Chinese in…

6. What is your favorite retail store?
I love many stores. =)

7. What’s your favorite thing to drink?
My favorite drink is Dr. Pepper though I haven’t had one in about a year.  I drink only water…plain, boring though refreshing water. 🙂

8. Do you take vitamins? What kind?
Yes, I take flaxseed oil vitamins as well as a multi-vitamin.

9. What percentage of the household chores to you do?
I keep things tidy, but the lovely and thorough cleaning lady does the actual deep cleaning.  Thank you Nancy!

10. Do your children do chores? {Or will they, did they, etc}
I have no children though I think of my cocker spaniel as my baby…She makes messes from time to time, but never cleans them…lol

11. Do you go to church?
No, I don’t…I grew up in church..Dad was a preacher, but it’s just not my thing anymore. I believe in God, but I can’t be bothered with the phonies who are so prevalent in church.  I did make a goal to attend a service at the Brooklyn Tabernacle before the year’s end so I think I’ll do that in the fall.

12. Do you have a housework schedule?
Nah, just keep things clean as I go (generally.)

13. Do you keep a working budget?
A working budget? No.  I save though and refrain from buying things I can’t afford (most of the time.)

14. What do you do at night as a family?
My closest family member is over 1,000 miles away,  but when I’m there we play Scrabble. Last night I played a card game with my boyfriend’s family after enjoying a pretty fun day.  While the game was fun, I do hope actually win one day.

15. How do you prepare yourself for a new week?
Laundry and fresh sheets on Sundays…

16. What do your mornings look like?
I wake up, eat breakfast, work, do some social networking, hit the gym, etc.

17. What time do you get up in the mornings?
Later than I plan to admit on my blog…:)

18. What time do you go to bed at night?
I got to bed very late so I don’t sleep more…just different hours.

19. How do you manage all of the paperwork that floods into your household? {bills, school work, magazines, ads, etc}
The bills get paid then everything else sits in a pile inside a basket until it’s finally time to clean it out then refill it.

20. How do you keep your household organized?

I keep things tidy, put things back where the belong…that’s about it.

I can't pass up Chik-Fil-A!!! Oh my gosh. Love it. Thai food is also so delicious. It's 10:00am and you're making me hungry!! 😉

If you're ever uptown, Advent Lutheran at 96th is where my husband and I go and it's the first church in a LONG time that actually feels like a family to me 🙂

Hey Kenz! Good for you on the water! I'm right with you. May sound boring, but it is the only thing that truely quenches my thirst. I am 1 1/2 years now water only!

I hope you can find a church that does not seem phoney but people who love the Lord.

I hear on FB that you cook a lot. Sounds like your a great one at that! ;o)

    Happy Monday!

I concur about being jealous of the cleaning lady! Kicking back and playing board games is so much fun, particularly when we beat the men!
