New York City

In Remembrance…

This is one of my favorite views of Manhattan. I often sail on Hudson and face the direction of these towering buildings, but I, of course, have a very different view now.

Living in New York City, it’s hard to meet anyone who was not affected by the immense tragedy our nation faced on September 11, 2001. Even outside of this city, I think most would agree that we live in a different world.

But today, I just want to take a moment to remember that fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, husbands, wives, daughters and friends were taken from their loved ones. I think it’s important that we keep in mind that life is short. We should spend the days we have being thankful for what we have and being kind to each other.

And so it is! Being kind and being thankful for living and health and dear friends and family around us.

9/11 had an impact on the whole world, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it on tv that day. Horrible, tragic, useless and sad.
