Family Thankful weight loss Weight Watchers

Pound For Pound

Last week Weight Watchers launched a campaign called Lose For Good. As WW members lose weight, Weight Watchers will donate up to one million dollars to help needy children and families.

In the last five months I’ve lost 47 pounds. And I hope to add a little more to my total after weighing in tomorrow evening. Either way, I’m happy with the success I’ve had so far, and earlier tonight I decided to measure out 47 pounds of food to donate to those who could use it.

In addition to the items pictured above, I will also donate Macaroni and Cheese (because what child doesn’t love Mac and Cheese?) and some other non-perishables that weigh as much as the weight I’ve lost so far (even throwing in a couple extra pounds for tomorrow’s weigh-in.)

And after placing these items in bags to be delivered tomorrow I have to say, this stuff is heavy! Now I’m not so surprised that I already walk faster without feeling winded! I was carrying so much extra weight. Just imagine how fast I’ll zip around when I lose the next 100 pounds! It’s was incredible to come to this realization today as I held this food in my arms.

I spend a lot of time talking about how far I have to go, but I really have come a long way already. And it feels great to know that as I lose weight through eating well and exercise that I’m gaining strength, balance and speed.

I’m so thankful for the things I have in my life, and I know that there are a lot of people around the country worrying about what their next meal will be. And while I may not be able to fix the problems facing our entire nation today, I do want to do my part to make this a safer, healthier place.

Starting today, I will donate a pound of food for every pound I lose because the journey should be celebrated just as much as the destination. And I cannot think of a better way to celebrate my accomplishments than feeling the weight of them in my own hands.

Great things happen when we begin caring for ourselves and for others so starting today, I plan to “be the change I want to see in the world.”

That is just wonderful! I am so impressed by your loss and your willingness to give. I need to get something into gear and fast!
I probably won't start selling SU till next year because it costs $200 to start and I need to get more skills. I'll keep you posted.

I'm doing that at my WW location too! I'm taking my 22 pounds of food next week! Our WWs collected almost 3000 pounds of food last year! It's amazing what can be done when people work together!

Keep up the good work, you continue to be an inspiration!

    Hope you're having a great week!♥
