Friend Makin’ Monday: Hobbies

I love FMM, and I love this week’s topic!  We are talking about hobbies, and if you want to join the fun just head over to Amber’s blog for details.

What are your hobbies?  And what do you wish you knew how to do?
I make cards and scrapbooks.
I make jewelry.

I play golf. (Wow, looking at this picture I can really see a difference in myself.  I’ve lost, and I can totally tell. hehe)
I travel.

And I explore my city and it’s surroundings because there’s always something new or exciting to see…(like this mansion/castle that I visited today.)
I also like to sail on the Hudson…
And hang in touristy parts of the city (including Times Square) though I haven’t been there lately…
And the Brooklyn Bridge…
And the George Washington Bridge and the little, red lighthouse…
I wish I knew how to knit.  And I want to learn to sail soon too.  It’s one of my goals when I attain a comfortable, healthy weight.  🙂
What do you love to do?  And what do you wish you could learn to do?  “It’s never too late to be the person you want to be” so if there’s something you want to try then do it. 🙂  And I’ll do the same. 🙂

It seems like a lot of us either are crafty, or wish we could be crafty. I'm one of those who wishes I could be crafty. Your cards and scrapbooks are beautiful! I wish I knew how to do that. I think half the battle is probably finding the time to try!

Great post! I also love to read, make jewelry and mingle with the tourists…but in Florida. The first time I went to NYC was to visit my brother-in-law, who lived there. He told me to plan on doing a lot of walking as a first-timer should see and do all of the fabulous touristy things NYC is famous for. It was awesome and I fell in love with your town, going back as often as I can!:-) Thanks for sharing.

Agreed. It's nice when it's quiet. I've had to come in to work around 4am a few times and that is definitely a quiet time, if you're looking for one. 😉 Koreatown and Chinatown are what remind me of why I came. I know what you're talking about.

I go to an ELCA/Reconciling Through Christ (accepts GLBT members) Lutheran church on 93rd and Broadway. It's a really caring congregation. If you're interested, Bring A Friend Sunday is October 18th!!! 🙂

And congratulations on your latest milestone. I read your blog often, but rarely comment. Congrats!!

If you lived closer to Boston, I would teach you how to knit. I love it!
