I’m pretty excited today because members of my family and a few friends are starting a 5 week weight loss contest with me. I’m calling it “Family and Friends Getting Thin.” Everyone weighed in this morning, and I’ll weigh in at my WW meeting tonight, and whoever loses the most weight over the next five weeks will win the big prize and bragging rights. The second place winner will also win a prize and bragging rights. 🙂

We’ll also have the opportunity to win weekly prizes through bonus challenges. This week, for each day we eat at least servings of fruits and/or veggies, we’ll get a point. Then at the end of the week, I’ll use a random generator to see who wins the prize. This week, the weekly bonus is a Weight Watchers cookbook.
And whether I win any prizes or not, I’m excited to see how our bodies progress. It warms my heart to know that so many loved ones are in my corner supporting me. And it helps, just a little, to know that they’re on a similar journey.
Speaking of similar journeys, I am currently on Day 11 of Jillian Michaels’ 30-Day Shred! And I cannot believe the difference I’ve seen since the first day. My friend, Rhonda, is moving into Day 10 today. Amber and Jen are doing it too. So now, we are all a little closer to being shredded. 😉
Wish me luck as I weigh in tonight! I ate well most days (though there were two in which I ate nothing but crap.) And I have exercised myself like crazy! Between the gym, cardio and shredding everyday I hope I step on the scale and see it go down at least a little bit. I’m nervous.
Regardless of what happens tonight, I am refocused and ready to claim huge weight loss success over the next year. How has your year gone so far? Are you focused and going strong?
