A New Week

I weighed in yesterday, and I lost another pound which makes me happy because I wasn’t so sure that would happen. I didn’t eat as well or exercise as much (err, at all) last weekend. And while I didn’t overindulge, I certainly didn’t do everything I needed to do to be a healthy person last week.

Exercise is usually part of my daily routine, but there were a couple of days in which I didn’t make time to do it. None of us are so busy that we can’t make time to be healthy so I won’t make excuses. The days that I did exercise, I did my best. I worked harder than usual hoping I could balance out the days that I couldn’t be bothered. Thankfully, it did.

I’ll be out of town next week so I’ll weigh in on Monday before I leave. Then I’ll spend a week with my family, and we’ll do a lot of exploring/shopping/walking. Last time I visited my sister’s house, I came back weighing over 7 pounds less. If I did that this trip, I’d come back and hit 100 pounds lost! How cool would that be?

My weight-loss is usually slow and steady, but I know I could have done better this week. I will eat well and exercise this weekend. Instead of going out with friends Saturday, I’m having friends over for a BBQ. It’s a great way to enjoy myself while making healthy food choices. And I plan on making healthy food choices.

We make choices everyday, and my goal for this week is to make choices that I’ll still be happy with next time I step on the scale. What are your goals for this week?

Well, Kenz, my goal for this week beginning today, is to get back on track. Apparently my little medical extravaganze thru me off more than I expected. I'm so sensitive to drugs, i really should have expected a long hangover, but didn't.

I'm just kicked in the butt–can't quit sleeping, not eating right, not permitted to exercise much due to the polyps removal… blah, blah, blah.

All facts but I used them to excuse indulgence in Easter chocolate and potatoes! Like, I couldn't have had cauliflower instead of the potatoes? sigh. Fat ways die hard–and mine had a resurrection apparently. But enough already. Up and at em!

I am not going to slide back this time. this time, I'm getting it done!

Glad to hear you had a loss. Do enjoy your week with the folks.

I've started writing my goals in my tracker (I bought the 3-month one). This week, my goal is to lose the weight I gained over Easter. At the top of each page, I've even written little motivational statements to myself! Corny, I know, but it does keep the goal in the front of my mind. I also write little goals in my weigh-in book. My leader told our group that she noticed my goal for this session while she was weighing me. I'm also walking more, and I'm going to a Zumba class in the morning! Congrats on losing another pound — that is wonderful!
