A Good Week

Last week I ate well and exercised, and the scale reflected that. I lost 3.2 pounds. 🙂 This week is shaping up to be a good one too. I love weeks like this – weeks in which my body and mind work together to make good choices. I also love looking at pictures and seeing myself in a smaller body so here we go again…

Thursday night I went out with several friends to see The Amish Outlaws, a band we all know and love. 🙂 I ate half of a bacon cheeseburger leaving the other half for Big Daddy Abel to eat after the show, and we danced the night away.

My friend, Char, compares dancing to an all-night zumba class. And we agree that dancing all night is a great way to burn calories especially when we get to enjoy talented, funny, sweet and entertaining boys. 🙂

It’s not always easy to make good choices, but I feel so much happier when I do it. And when I look at the big picture I’m reminded that what I want will be worth skipping the Smirnoff Ice or the popcorn at the movies. I enjoy those things from time to time, but I’m learning that I can enjoy myself while picking and choosing my indulgences. 😉

I really want to reach my first 100 pound milestone. I messed around for a few weeks, but I didn’t beat myself up (too much.) I started moving forward again. And I have to say…I like this direction.

    That is so wonderful! I knew you would have a good loss this week! I'm aiming for that, too! I've been to two aerobics classes, and I think I can fit one more in before the next weigh-in.

    I loved this 🙂 And it is soo true! Wish my girlfriends still lived in town so we could hit the dance floor again! I remember it being so much fun! Now I dance in the kitchen while I cook dinner 🙂
