Just Keeping It Real

Thursday night when I weighed in I was 2 pounds up. And while it’s frustrating, it was expected. And I am happy to say that I’m still looking forward to making this a healthy week.

After the meeting I went out with friends then to see a band we love. We danced the night away, and I left the alcohol to be consumed by others. I drank water and had just as much fun.

Last night I had sushi with you know who then we spent some time at Dave and Busters (an arcade for grownups) where I remained the undisputed skeeball champion of the world our household. 😉 I beat him 4 games to 3. He beat me in every other game we played including a some kind of Sega shooting game.

So while I’m not happy about the fact that I showed a gain, it was expected. And I’m still in my groove as of last Monday so I’m moving forward. What else can I say? I did my best today, and I’ll do it again tomorrow. And seriously…don’t I look scary holding a video game gun?

    I'm glad you don't have a weight gain hangover–those can be soooo hard on forward progress. I obviously know what I'm talking about there. :}

    Kenz, I'm glad you just got back on track and are moving forward. You really have great focus and determination. I'm struggling big time right now with all the change that's occuring and busy time. Hang in there…you have the right attitude!

    Dude, I didn't know you weighed at night! It's my experience that weighing at night is always bad. Early in the morning, after the bathroom, before the breakfast, in your skivvies.

    Much happier results weighing in the morning.

    Doesn't take much to make that darn scale go the opposite of what we want! But your attitude is great and I would bet you are sailing forward again into weight loss waters.

    Um. Sorry about the strange metaphor. LOL.

    Way to stay with it! It is so easy to fall all the way off the wagon. I'm up this week as well. My sister is in town and I made some crappy decisions. Need to get back on the wagon!

    Phys, it's definitely tougher weighing in at night, but that's the only time I do it. I've considered weighing in at a morning meeting then going to my regular evening meeting. But the truth is, when I'm doing my best the weight comes off so the time doesn't matter too much overall.

    Thanks, now I've got the theme from "Charlie's Angels" playing in my brain.

    You only gained two pounds!! That's not impressive. Why I could gain five in one week without even trying. You are much better at losing weight, so just stick with that, OK?

    Don't make me tell you about the time I beat my husband at bowling.

    Stay tough, Girl. No one does this without a little backsliding. You are back on it and will see success this week. I just know it.

    Keep on doing what you've been doing Kenz!! Those numbers will come peeling off…I love that you don't let it get you down (even though you may be feeling it).
