Hey Kenz. I live in Van Buren, Arkansas. It is that town that is just little enough that you know alot of people, but also big enough that we have all the mainstays of civilization, such as Wal Mart, all the big restaurants, etc. I love Van Buren because it is in the River Valley Region of Arkansas so I am about an hour away from several awesome state parks, with gorgeous scenery and a lot of outdoor activities.

We almost have all the international stores and restaurants here, so basically, the city's very much updated. What I like about my country though is not its urbanized areas, rather, I love the natural beauties around here, making me feel as if I'm in paradise…

We have a bluff with a walkway, so that at lunch I can enjoy that river! Memphis is also "The Birthplace of the Blues, The Home of Rock and Roll" – ELVIS, Jerry Lee Lewis, BB King, Beale Street. I've been reading your blog for over a year now but hardly comment on it. Reason (not sure if you are going to like this but I'm just being hones) is that you hardly ever comment on my blog, don't know if you even read it. I like to comment on blogs but I like it too when people comment on mine. If they don't I usually read only and don't comment.

That being said, back to the topic.

I live in Holland, Europe. What I love about my country is the variety in nature and the freedom that we have, a lot is possible in our country (sometimes too much in my opinion). We are a business country from origin and still quite succesfull in business abroad.

We are generous, for example our country raised twice as much money for Haรฏti as the USA did.

A lot of famous people are Dutch: Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Paul Verhoeven, Doutzen Kroes, Peter Stuyvesant and more.
And there are the American famous people who have Dutch roots like Clint Eastwood, Bruce Springsteen, Marlon Brando, Tiger Woods, Franklin and Teddy Roosevelt and Thomas Edison.

And that for a small country such as ours.

I live in central Florida, about midway between Tampa and Orlando. When I was growing up we used to joke that the best thing about the town was the number of roads that led out.

But it's a good place to raise a family, we're within an hour of two major airports, the cost of living is lower than it would be in a major metropolitan area, and the fact that our yard is about .75 acre isn't a big deal. Plus, we're less than an hour away from Disney which I flat-out adore and I am living for the day when I can reasonably afford annual passes. That will likely be after the kids move out, though… LOL.

I blog over at the ridiculously named "It's All About the Walls",, and you've stopped by there a couple of times. I started the blog four years ago and couldn't think of anything to name that sucker, so its ultimate title was an exercise in desperation.

I prefer my subtitle, which is a quote from Mythbusters: There is no way to viably paint your house with explosives.

I enjoy reading your blog in part because of the NYC connection. My little sister (she's 31) took advantage of the number of roads that led out of our town and now lives in Carroll Gardens. She lived in Manhattan for several years, followed by a couple in Park Slope, but she and her husband just had their first child and figured they really did need two actual bedrooms with doors; hence the move from Park Slope.

More info than you wanted probably, LOL.

I live in such a small county that when people come to visit they have no idea that they have travelled through about six towns! I just love it! It's funny because those I grew up with had siblings that grew up with my siblings, and their parents grew up with my parents, and some of us even had the same teachers as our parents! I also love that I have to go off the mountain to do anything. That sounds crazy, but I always have a good excuse to go to the big towns!

Looks like you have a lot of fans from ALL over, but looks like Georgia is represented very well. Way to go Georgia!! This is actually a great idea if you have a lot of followers (I only have 26 – which I'm blogging about today).

By the way I'm from Georgia too. I have lived in Georgia my entire life. I like living in Georgia because I hate the cold weather and it rarely snows here. I could never live up north. However, it is hot as Haiti in the summer, which I'm not real fond of. We only have two seasons here in Georgia, normally, Summer and Fall. Right now it is getting to be Fall, which I am loving with the cool mornings. I live in a suburb of Atlanta, Kennesaw which is growing quite a bit so it's not the small town feel it used to be. But I work in Atlanta, so I can enjoy all the Atlanta traffic!!! With all that said, I could probably move to Florida and be happier, because I love the beach and it doesn't get that cold there either.

I have been reading your blog for a few months, but I very rarely comment on blogs, because I'm always afraid that what I say may be taken the wrong way, because there is no emotion in typing and sometimes things do not relay the sentiment in which something was said.

I live in Lancaster, PA–Amish (and Mennonite and Brethren) country! I love the duality of this area, rural and suburban, farming and industry. Even though we're only a few hours from Philly, NYC, Baltimore, and Washington DC, the pace is more laid back and the outlook more conservative. Only draw back–I've lived here 12 years and still can't get used to the smell when the farmers "fertilize" their fields! (That's recycling manure to you and me.)

What a FAB idea – I'm totally going to steal it! I live in Seattle, Washington and I love it for the physical beauty of the area – mountains, ocean, islands, lush green vegetation… I also love that you can be almost anywhere doing just about anything (skiing in the mountains to kayaking in the ocean) within an hour or less. I love how active my area is!

Thanks for doing this – I found a few new local bloggers to check out!

It's amazing to find out where everybody is from! I'm in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. What do I like about it? Well, I like experiencing all the seasons (except I'd love a bit less winter!) and the schools are great. My husband was from Brooklyn until he moved here, so I always ask if he's been to the places you talk about.

I know you've already visited my blog once, but I'll give a shout out anyways ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm in Kerrville, Texas. It's a small town, but we're not too far from San Antonio. The town has a cultural influence that's an interesting mix of Mexican and German. The people are friendly, we're on the banks of the Guadalupe River, and have lots of artists' studios here. Lots of people come here to retire, so even at 40 years old, I still feel young in comparison.

I live in Farmington Hills, Michigan – a suburb of Detroit. One of the best things about Michigan is the fall weather. I love it when the trees change colors and the crispness of autumn is in the air. It's my favorite time of the year, and what I missed most when I lived in Los Angeles 25 years ago. Great Idea!

I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. And why do I love this city? Well I've only been out here for 9 months now (Normally I live in Ontario) and there's been some down sides (like total lack of a summer, only one day over 30'C this year) but I have an awesome job (being a student in a research lab) at the University here. We've got great sports teams (the Flames-NHL and Stampeders-CFL) and I've been out to a bunch of games. The Calgary Stampede this summer was awesome. We're less than 45min away from the Rocky Mountains, and that alone is enough to make me want to start skiing/hiking more. Fun city, it'll be a good place to be doing grad school.

As for my blog, you may have seen my old one, but I've recently switched to a new one, Maybe you'll check it out?
