What Have You Gained From Weight-Loss?

I have gained so much by losing weight, and I’d love to hear how weight-loss has affected your life.

What have you gained from losing weight?  (Or what do you hope to gain?)

The answer, for me, could be a mile long, but I’ll spare you and share only a few of the biggest changes I’ve experienced.

Moving is so much easier!  I can walk up a few flights of stairs before I start getting winded.  I can walk miles without pain and without a need to stop.  And my balance has improved beyond measure.  I no longer fall down regularly, and I feel strong and capable.

    oh my list of answers could take forever! a few of my favorites though are the new found energy level. I am pretty much fidgety now. I have some amazing stamina now. I jog 30 minutes at 6 miles an hour now without stopping. I have also gained a bunch of friends in the blogging community that I hold near and dear for being there and getting "it". I am able to talk incessantly about these new found wonders on here. I have to censor myself in real life cause people aren't always happy to hear how well you are doing all the time if they aren't in the know on what a huge deal it is.

    That is a great question! I have gained myself back. My confidence is back and I feel so much more motivated to do anything. It is a great feeling.

    Ive still got a long way to go, but so far I have gained love for myself again. I am proud of myself on a daily basis and I haven't had these feelings in a REALLY long time.

    My confidence, energy to do things with my kids, and to be able to find clothes that fit at Asda(Walmart)

    I am still in the early days of my journey, but even being 45 lbs down I notice I have more energy, and I feel so much stronger (physically and emotionally and mentally). I believe I can do anything I put my mind to again and that is a great feeling.

    I hope to have the energy to keep up with my son and the freedom of movement. my size keeps me from doing a lot of the things I'd like to do.

    Ive gained SO much. I feel like a completely different person. More strength, more confidence, more stamina, I could go on and on.

    My list could also go on and on. 72 pounds down and I've gained far more than 72 things! My confidence is back, I'm happier, healthier, have a ton more energy. Smaller clothes to wear is always fun. The fact that I'm working out on a regular basis is huge for me and I see it rubbing off on my family, which to me is so huge. My DH (dear husband) is on WW with me now, my 4 year old asks to exercise with me daily. Love that! 🙂

    I've lost a lot already and well I got a life, some confidence, energy, some pride in myself! What do I hope to gain, access to clothes that express who I am not what I have to accept wearing that is one of the biggest things for me. The other big thing I hope to gain by losing a big chunk off my sizeable hips is being able to go somewhere and not worry will I fit into that chair! that would be really nice!

    My list is endless… Most of all My kids have gotten their mom back. I now have the energy to have fun with them, I am no longer the mom sitting in the car watching hte kids on the tobbagan hill.. I am the mom on the tobbogan going down the hill!!!! MNy weight loss has given me the opportunity to be the Mom I always wanted to BE!!!!

    I've gained many of the same wonderful things that others have mentioned, but I'd be remiss if I didn't say that I also gained some wonderful things when I regained some of the weight I lost! At the time it sure didn't feel wonderful, but the lessons learned and the gifts I've received are priceless. Now that I am losing that regained weight, I feel doubly lucky!

    I'm in the early days yet but for me – increased self confidence, happiness and the physical improvements of increased mobility, not being so hot, or red and being able to keep up with others are all tangible successes.

    My self confidence is wayyyy up! I fit into clothes I want to wear. I feel sexy and I've gone on dates. I don't sweat all the time and I don't get out of breath when I walk up a flight of stairs. Losing weight has been probably the best decision I have made in my life.

    I've gained adventure..as in I'm not afraid to try just about anything that is fitness related now..and that feels awesome!

    Not making excuses for myself, why I don't have time to exercise…now I make the time! I plan my meals out and I feel and look so much better!

    I am happier. I can deal with life's ups and downs without feeling depressed and hopeless. (This is mainly due to exercise.) I can run. I can fit back into clothes that were once too tight. I feel confident. I feel in control. I can keep my whole family active and playing together. Priceless.
