FMM: What’s in Your Fridge?

  1. List a few common items that can always be found in your fridge.  Vanilla Greek yogurt, fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, bottled water, skim milk, single servings of Brie, onions, green peppers, chicken and edamame (in the freezer.)

These are my favorite Brie Bites!

  2. What kind of milk do you drink? Skim…I buy a quart at a time, and I never finish that much before it goes bad..
  3. Do you prefer fresh or frozen vegetables? Obviously, I prefer fresh veggies, but I love keeping frozen edamame on hand.  The individual packs at Sam’s Club are only 3 P+ each per bag!
  4. What do you currently have to drink in the fridge? Water, milk, green tea. There are sodas and other options in the pantry, but I don’t drink that stuff (other people do) so it doesn’t need to be in the fridge regularly.
  5. How often do you clean out your refrigerator? Every other week or so – or if I notice that something needs to be cleaned out…and usually on Sundays.
  6. What’s the healthiest thing in it right now? The fridge is loaded up with fruits and veggies, but I’m most excited about the sugar snap peas.  I fell in love with them at the Hollywood Farmer’s Market, and they’re my favorite vegetable now.

    Yum!

  7. What’s the most unhealthy thing in it right now? There are a few Hershey chocolate bars that I like to use to make s’mores…only 2 P+ each. Yum! For the record, I think it’s perfectly healthy and normal to have things in the fridge that aren’t totally healthy.
  8. What do you wish you had in it that you don’t have now? Reduced fat cream cheese.  I made up a recipe today, and it flopped.  Now I wish I had made my new, favorite cheesecake cups instead.  That will have to happen later this week!
  9. How often do you shop for groceries? I shop for groceries a few times a week.  It seems like I run out of strawberries every few days…
  10. What’s the weirdest thing in your fridge right now? White squash…I’m not really sure how to cook it so it’s in the crisper until I figure it out.

What am I supposed to do with this?!

Now it’s your turn! Don’t forget to answer the questions and come back to post a link in the comments section! Happy Monday!

I heard through another friend that you were there! I had to know, of course! I’m SO SO glad you went and loved it. What’s great about Alexa and Heidi and David is that they’re consistently super cool, helpful and supportive! I can’t wait to add myself back into the mix! =)

Because you’ve heralded the benefits of Greek yogurt, I bought some on Friday. I haven’t had a chance to try it because I was out of town this weekend, but I might give it a go tonight. My local Whole Foods had a sale on Fage flavored Greek yogurts at $1 per 7 ounce tub, and they’re normally $1.99. Fage flavored Greek yogurts look really neat because they come with the flavor separated: you get 5.3 ounces of plain Greek yogurt and 1.7 ounces of the topping that you add in.

OMG, I love the Fage ones with flavor on the side. They’re my fave. I’ve tried the other brands, but am so used to the flavor on the side that I can’t get into them. You should try the one with honey. It’s amazing!

I have practically lived off of the Fage 2% with strawberry for the last year..ha Now I’m also obsessed with vanilla Greek yogurt, but I’ll always have a soft spot for Fage! =)

And $1 at Whole Foods?!?! AWESOME!

Just a quick FYI for all the blogger users out there. There were a couple of posts I wanted to comment on last week and I couldn’t because you have the ‘post comment’ embedded after your post and don’t allow anonymous and/or name/URL comments. There is currently an issue with blogger that doesn’t allow comments when it’s embedded under the post. You either need to open it to anonymous OR go to Settings>Comments and change ‘Comment Form Placement’ to either ‘full page’ or ‘pop up’.

    Cheers.
