My Little Wish List

I love dresses! I wear the often because it’s so easy to slip one on and leave home looking well-groomed and stylish. And I particularly adore maxi dresses because they’re so flattering for my shape, and it’s as comfortable as walking around in my pajamas all day.

Here’s a peek at a couple of my favorite dresses on my Old Navy wish list right now:

Call me crazy, but I would love to own this Striped Halter Maxi.  It would be perfect for a day at the beach, don’t you think?  I usually wear a shrug or cardi, but I think I’d wear this dress just as it is with a pop of yellow or red…just saying.

And this Ruffle Tiered Sundress is calling my name, but I can’t be sure if it will be flattering. For 20 bucks, it’s probably worth finding out. Don’t you agree?

But this Cross-Front Floral Maxi is my favorite.  I seriously need it, but $50 seems pretty steep for Old Navy, no?  I realize that we often pay a lot more for plus-sizes, but a sale would be nice!   I’ll be keeping an eye on this one because it’s great for Summer, but it can definitely transition into the Fall.

It’s Saturday so I’m going to enjoy the day, and I hope you’ll do the same.  What are your plans for the weekend? Are you looking forward to anything in the coming week?

I love all of those dresses, but that cross-front floral maxi is absolutely gorgeous. I don’t know the price of dresses etc in USA, but here in Australia $50 for a dress like that is a bargain!!

Love, love, love that floral maxi at Old Navy. I might use that as a workout incentive, and you’re right, maybe it’ll come down a little in price!

I am a huge fan of dresses! I’ve found my closet filled with them but I also need to go buy some tops. I don’t know why but dresses are so much easier to buy for me than tops!

    Those dresses are fab 🙂

Hey Kenz, just wanted to direct you to a site that I’ve used that has inexpensive and ADORABLE dresses. The link is http://www.swimsuitsforall.com/prodshelf.asp?dept_id=100060 . Their resort wear and coverups are about $20-$30. They’re durable, cute, flattering, AND affordable.

You and Heidi are rubbing off on me. I bought 2 cute sundresses at Target and bought the crochet shrugs from Old Navy to go with the (sleeveless)..And was plotting mixinb them with my jean jacket in to Fall.
I wear an xl or sometimes 2xl at Old Navy and didn’t see any sundresses. But I would love that last dress from Old Navy. I may have to order it.

I love that last maxi dress because it can be worn with a bra! I have a maxi that is a halter, and I hate having to wear a strapless bra. I hope you don’t mind if I try that dress out…..

I ordered that cross-front maxi! I hope that is OK with you! I hope it fits – I haven’t really bought much from Old Navy before. Oh, and I HAD to order an embellished T-shirt, too, to qualify for the free shipping! The dress alone is 6 cents short of $50!!!!

Too cute! I was just posting on Heidi’s blog that she needs to be my stylist. I am stuck in this old lady gear and really need a change. I am scared to wear dresses. I feel like I look odd in dresses. Maybe I just need anothers opinion. 😉

Yes. Yes you do need a second opinion. It’s like doctors. You don’t just trust the first source, Patty! Especially if that source (yourself) is telling you that you don’t look cute in dresses. Because I haven’t seen you, but I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t look good in their soulmate-dress. We’re just going to have to find that for you.

I would only call you crazy if you DIDN’T love that striped maxi. Holy hell, Kenlie, can’t you just see, like, 12 different Parisian-style outfits built around it? I have an Old Navy gift cert, but you spotted this little number first. And hos before clothes.

Hi Kenz those dresses are cute, the striped one is my fave. Love the nautical-esque look to it. I could see it paired with a pair of cute espadrilles and chunky lucite or plastic bangles in white or red. ITA w/you about dresses, they’re not just easy but they instantly make you feel pretty and so lady-like 🙂

I know you’re busy but I sent you a msg wanting to know where you got the blk/floral dress you wore in CA. Here’s a link to the pic: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zKsoexy8XRo/TdsdXqyouFI/AAAAAAAACmk/oWeT5YgCKn4/s1600/davidheidime.jpg

Can you please share the info. I just love it! Thanks 🙂

The dress in the picture is a brand called “Delusional.” I picked it up randomly on sale at Burlington Coat Factory last month, and as you can see, I wear it a lot! I’m actually wearing it right now! 😉 It’s probably the best use of $20 I’ve ever spent! =)

Kenzi…….I’m looking at the stripe one too, but I can tell you I ordered the tiered dress and it was awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It it sectioned and the sections hit me at all the wrong places and the material was icky too. I can’t tell you about what you might like, but I thought I’d tell you my experience. At least ON has free returns for Plus sizes.

I love the cute tiered sundress, but I think it’s absurd that they don’t offer plus sizes for women in stores! It has several negative reviews; most of which could have been avoided if the women would have been able to try it on before purchasing.

In happier news, I do have happy plans for tomorrow! I’m meeting some friends for the second part of our Anime Fun Fest. We’re going to finish watching an anime series and snack on Japanese treats.

Thanks for sharing the info on your dress. $20 are you serious? It makes you look like a million bucks and you wear it well girl! How ironic that you had it on when I asked the question.

I wanted to give you a heads up (or remind you) of two sales this week at Old Navy!

    1) Until midnight EDT, you can get 24% off your order, excluding a few things like Everyday Steals and Shorts.

    2) Tank tops will be on sale this weekend (Saturday and Sunday) for $2, $4, $6, and $8. They’re also doing a pre-sale Friday for $2 solid rib-knit tanks with this coupon (http://oldnavy.gap.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/content/0003/378/716/assets/ODW_Facebook_coupon176996A.pdf).
