Where in the World Are You?

After posting about my Popchips giveaway yesterday (and reading that many of you have trouble finding them in your area) it made me wonder – where do you live?

I love the internet because it’s my window into the world, and since starting this blog, I have connected with people all over the planet. And it’s pretty incredible.

I’ve asked the question once before, and I’m curious to see how it has changed. Β So please indulge me…:)

Where do you live? And what do you love about it?

And don’t forget to enter for your chance to win a 30-day supply of Popchips!

I’m in Boston, MA, and I love that it’s home of the Red Sox, and Make Way for Ducklings. Also, some of the best medical care and schools in the world. I also love the fresh local seafood, and being close to the ocean in summer. I also love being near my close friends & family here.

Regardless, I daydream about moving to southern CA someday to get away from the nasty New England winters.

Yay Boston! I just moved from Boston in October… to Southern California πŸ™‚ The weather is truly, truly amazing. I seriously spent every day this winter thanking GOD that it wasn’t snowing XD

(that said, nothing beats the history of Boston, the architecture, culture, etc.! Boston also has MUCH better sports teams XD)

Yes, though they shut down the original Filene’s Basement basement in Downtown Crossing! It was SO DEPRESSING. Now Filene’s is just standalone stores, like a TJ Maxx πŸ™ (and there is literally just a hole in the ground where Filene’s was, because the new development project to go there is hopelessly stalled)

Like Dominique and Michelle, I live in Connecticut, but I am in New London (southeast corner of the state), about 1/8 mile from the beach…I love that when it’s 90 and sweltering a mile or two “inland,” it’s 10 degrees cooler and breezy at my house (most of the time). I also love that when it’s 20 degrees and blizzarding inland, it’s warmer and not snowing as much here (although there are times when we get dumped on and the rest of the state does not).

So I have a question about PopChips (which I do love): can you (the general “you”) eat a serving or do you eat the whole bag? The bags are relatively small but I tend to eat the whole thing and it feels “bingey” to me.

I live in Clovis, CA. It is town with about 80,000 people located right next to Fresno. I love it because it has a small town feel, even though it is growing by leaps and bounds. It is very clean, has great schoosl, and is a fabulous location in Central California. We can get to the mountains in an hour and the coast in 2 1/2. I also like the access to super fresh fruits and vegetables. Agricultural center of the world right here!

Central Missouri here, right alongside I-70. I love that I’m only 2 hours from St. Louis or Kansas City. That and the fact that I live in a rural area and we have only a handful of neighbors.

I’m at the New Jersey shore! Lived in NJ all my life. I’m an hour north of Atlantic City and right next door to Seaside Heights…..and no….NJ is NOT like the MTV show!!

Love NJ….close to NYC and Philadelphia. Within a couple hours drive, you can be at the beaches on the Atlantic Ocean, in the mountains by upstate NY or in the farmlands in southern NJ.

I am originally born and raised in Miami, FL, which was the most beautiful city i have ever seen and home to the best Cuban food I have ever had.

I moved to Pasadena, CA 3 years ago to work at USC.(in fact, the 1st of July is my 3rd anniversary here.) I love So Cal and all it has to offer.

I live in Southern California. Born and raised. I love that I can go to the beach and the mountains in the same day if I wanted to. The weather is also great for the most part.

I am in Mobile, AL and I love being on the gulf coast. My roots are deep here… my ancestors have been between Mobile and New Orleans for over 300 years. We have almost year-round summer, beautiful pines and oaks, and some of the whitest beaches anywhere.

I live in Daphne, Alabama and It is across the Causeway from Mobile. I am originally from Upper Michigan and the things I enjoy most down here are the Winter and Spring with no snow ; I also like the beaches and Southern food. One of my favorite places to be is the next town over from Daphne called Fairhope, because it is a very eclectic place where authors, artists and people who sort of march to a different drummer are welcomed and made to feel like they belong. We have only lived here for two years, and I still miss my family, friends, and the four seasons in the Midwest. I am not sure I will ever get used to the hot and humid Summers down South. Most of the people I have met here are very welcoming and friendly.

I’m from a tiny town in Alabama. Currently I live in Huntsville, AL. It’s very pretty here. Very quiet, safe etc. We have more ph.d’s per capita than anywhere else in the u.s. You can literally throw a baseball in any direction and have a good chance of hitting a rocket scientist. We have NASA, and Antoine Dodson (bed intruder) lol. It’s a weirdly techie city surrounded by lots of redneck areas.

I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I love that I don’t have to scrape ice from my car in the winter (I’ve lived in Kansas City, MO and Vermont.. plenty of winter experience!). Honestly, I’m not thrilled I live here. I moved here for a job and lost that job last year. My family is all back East, and my husband’s family is mostly in the Midwest.

I found your website after the Southwest Airlines situation a few months ago. You’ve been so inspiring to me! I just recently (as in, the past three or four weeks) started my lifestyle change and have lost almost four pounds. You have no idea how widespread your impact is. πŸ™‚

I live in Alexandria, VA – just a hop across the Potomac river from our nation’s capital. What I like about living in an area like this is the amount of shopping options, as well as plenty of opportunities for things to do aside from shopping.

Though, I’m not from this area – my roots are from a place I like to call “The Motherland” – also known by most as Pennsylvania. And specifically I’m from a small town outside of the black and gold city that is Pittsburgh!

I live just outside of Dallas, TX in Flower Mound. I was born and raised in the Dallas area and I LOVE it! Some people complain that it’s ugly here because there are no mountains or ocean, but I say that makes you appreciate them even more when you get to see them! πŸ™‚

I’ve never tried POPCHIPS because I’m afraid I’ll like them TOO much! I tend to be a bit obsessive when it comes to a new snack – especially something that tastes great BUT I’m willing to try and restrain myself if I win! Bring on the chips!!

Hi there, I live in bavaria in Germany. I like it here because the country around me is beautiful. I live close to the alps and they are great in the summertime for hiking and in the wintertime for skiing. I am close to munich where the Oktoberfest is, but I can also be in Berlin in 6 hours or Italy in 5 hours or France in 6 hours. There is alot of variety here. I like your blog and you are an inspiration. You are very strong and you are beautiful. Thank you for letting us be part of your journey.

Yes, we do have running water and no, we do not ride our horses to work. πŸ™‚ We are the state of the beautiful Black Hills and Mount Rushmore! As well as no trees and wind like no other. πŸ™‚ I have not seen Popchips, (so I Googled) but they look delish!

I live in in England, in the countryside not far outside of Cambridge. I’m originally from St.Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota and I love that the coldest cold day and the hottest hot day here are still comfortable. I’m done with being frozen to the bone or dripping with the heat! Plus, this part of England is truly beautiful with rolling hills and landscapes.
