FMM: Why Do You Blog?
I started blogging because I figured that it would be a great way to document my weight-loss journey, but I never expected to receive as much support and encouragement as I have found in this community. I think I began blogging because I hoped for this kind of encouragement, but it has definitely exceeded my expectations.
Now I blog because it’s my way of keeping myself accountable. It also makes me feel as though I’m not alone in this journey through the ups and downs of this gigantic life change. A few weeks ago, Kent, quoted someone who said that we should only write if we need to write. I blog because I need to blog.
My reasons are selfish really…I need this avenue of self-reflection. I need support and encouragement. I need to feel connected to others who understand (or want to understand) my journey. And I need to remind myself daily that I’m worth the effort it takes to change my life one day at a time.
