Reflection Weigh-In weight loss

Weigh-Ins and A Little Reflection

So this week’s weigh-in yielded a 2.4 pound loss for me, and a 4.6 pound loss for Mom.  Wow..she’s doing such a great job!  She reached her 5% goal tonight, and she is already looking forward to reaching her 10%!  I’m not thrilled with my loss because I expected it to be a bit bigger, but I’ll certainly take it and hope for another good loss next week.

After doing the math, I just noticed that losing 2.4 pounds every week for a year would add up to 124.8 pounds! Not too shabby, right?

Sometimes it’s important to take a minute to think about how small changes can add up to huge success!

Yes! Baby steps will still get you from point a to point b, and most likely faster than you expected! Have you ever noticed how fast babies are? lol

So true Kenlie! My average weight loss is 1.5 pounds a week, it is disappointing sometimes, but I lose sight that the important thing is the scale is moving downwards. A little adds up to a LOT over time! You’re doing great! Congrats on your loss!

Yeah…it felt slow during the first hundred, but looking back through it, it was so quick..:)

That’s awesome … and that is a great way to look at it:

Gaining weight can sneak up on you (It took me ~24 years to put on my max weight) … but if you treat your body with love and respect … successful weight loss can sneak up on you just as easily! =)

I keep telling myself that even if today’s weight is the number I am stuck at forever, it doesn’t give me license to treat my body like crap! It’s really about the rest of your life, and you are doing all the right things.

So even if it takes you 5 years to goal, think of how amazing it will be and how solid all of your good habits will be etc.

    XOXO,
    Nina
