Friend Makin’ Mondays: Thanksgiving Plans

It’s the end of what has been an incredible weekend for me.  Cal and I took a trip to Texas where we spent some time with my aunts before he took me home to meet his parents and brother. After meeting them, it’s clear to see why Cal is so tall and brilliant!  They were easy to talk to and very nice to me.  And his mom loves Pinterest so we had a lot to discuss! 🙂

It was an eventful weekend to say the least, and it made me look forward to the extended trip that we’re taking together in December.  I’ll see his family again, and he’ll meet my dad.  But before that, I’m heading to my sister’s house for Thanksgiving, and I’m looking forward to that too which leads me to this week’s topic.

If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules. If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s question on your own blog then add your link in the comments section here at: so we can all see your FMM questions and answers. Please invite your blog readers to add their links here too so everyone has to opportunity to be seen. The idea is to connect with other awesome bloggers so take a moment to post your own FMM post and comment on a couple of other posts. Now it’s time for this week’s topic!

FMM: Thanksgiving Plans

What are your plans for Thanksgiving this year?  Does your family have traditions?  If so, share them…(I know that some of you live outside of the US so  feel free to fill us in on other holiday traditions!)

My family seems to be meeting at my sister’s house every year now, and I couldn’t be happier about that.  Colorado is beautiful, and I like being wherever my family is.  We’ll make traditional Thanksgiving dishes like stuffing and pecan pie, but we’ll also make cornbread dressing and Watergate salad.  Yum!  Am I the only one who get excited about pies during the holidays?  (We already know how I feel about cupcakes. Ha…)

My homemade crust is awesome. I'm just saying..

And while my family doesn’t have any major traditions, I have a couple of my own.  I’ll buy a newspaper and map out my plans for Black Friday just as I do every year, and I’ll definitely do a workout that day because I feel better about myself when I’m active.

Now it’s your turn to share your plans!  Don’t forget to come back and link up!

Hey I’m first this time! Probably because a bunch of your readers are getting to sleep in!

What is cornbread dressing? (I love cornbread) and wategate salad? ( does it have hidden microphones in it?)

You can see my post here!

I’m Canadian, so our Thanksgiving was last month! Your traditions aren’t so different from ours, although in my family, the pie was always pumpkin. 😉

    Enjoy your Black Friday sales!

I’m Canadian too Kris, and pumpkin pie is the best, it’s sad that it just seems to be a holiday pie
