Friends Lifestyle

Greetings From Texas

Tuesdays have been pretty good in my world lately, and today was no exception. I had such a fantastic time with my family today and managed to make a few friends on the way. πŸ™‚ Before an awesome karaoke outing I experienced tonight, I helped my aunts move heavy cement blocks which made me break a sweat in a major way! Each block was 18x18x3 and weighed about 50 pounds or so. Check out this picture of me doing manual labor – something you won’t see often.

Workin' hard........

After that, we ventured into the city for a bit before heading back to the house for dinner. After dinner and a little crafting (yep, more crafting) my aunts and cousin and I went to a cafe and sang lots of karaoke. Well, I sang, and they listened. And while I was there, I met someone that my aunts wanted me to meet, Rex – a man with the most beautiful, velvet voice I’ve ever heard. He was incredible! And we sang a few songs together before the night’s end. I cannot wait to sing with him again! They saw me melting and kept reminding me that he was taken, but I don’t care. He was dreamy, and his husband was equally awesome.

The man with the velvet voice...

I had such a fun day, but I’m looking forward to seeing Cal later today. I miss him already, and I don’t want to think about being away from him over Thanksgiving and the following week. He makes me giddy. πŸ™‚

This week has been all about enjoying my life, and I’m so thankful for the things that are happening right now. I need to get back to focusing on exercise and healthy eating- something that I haven’t focused on much in the last several days, and now seems like the perfect time to do it.

How’s everything going for you today? Are you eating well and exercising?

Ok, first of all, the ‘working out’ photo shows that you REALLY are shrinking!! So exciting. I guess nobody dares to call it a vacay after seeing you in work gloves haulin’ stuff around. !

Love hearing about you & your man, & your giddiness. πŸ™‚

    Safe trip back!

Haha…in fairness, I only did manual labor for about 15 minutes, but it felt good to know I could do it. πŸ™‚
