Exercise weight loss

Water? Exercise? Both?

I’m in the mood to host a challenge, and I want to hear your thoughts.  Is anyone interested in doing a water challenge with me?  Is anyone interested in doing an exercise challenge?

I’m doing my best to push myself in both areas right now.  My workouts and water consumption are both pretty solid, but I could always use an extra push.

What do you think?  Do you want more details?  Care to join me?

I completely need both, but with my husband’s recovery and all exercise is taking a backseat by necessity. But I’m not drinking enough water AT ALL, and that can be rectified, so I’d be in for a water challenge.

It definitely sounds like water would be good in your case. I want to wish you and your husband the best during his recovery! I know it must be difficult on both of you.

Hell yeah..bring on the challenge…I feel I am in a bit of a rut and would welcome some company…I am struggling with food, water and exercise so would gladly be part of a challenge comprising any of these.

I’d be game for an exercise challenge. I have no issues with either but it’s always nice to push myself harder for a cause!

My issue is really with food right now, and I’m thinking about new ways to challenge myself there too.

I love the idea of a challenge! I do great with water during the week at work, but am lacking SERIOUSLY at home. I still go for the diet soda which I know I need to change.

I also love the idea of an exercise challenge. I sometimes find myself in a lull and can use the extra motivation! Especially since I am aiming to run a 5k! All the extra support I can get will help!

I am definately drinking enough water, but I have an eliptical machine and a total gym in a sitting area in my bedroom… I see it, I just haven’t commited to using it at all. I can also walk around our neighborhood for exercise but I don’t do that either. My last post I stated I had only lost 5 lbs in 3 1/2 weeks. Today the scale shows that I have lost 9 1/2 lbs. That was encouraging. I need to be challenged to do the work it takes. I have a belly and I think that exercise is going to be the best way to rid myself of this fat roll….. am I really ready to commit? That is the question… I will think about that and get back with you!

Count me in! I would be down for both (although I drink plenty of water so that is not my issue). When I’m committed to either of these, I can do it with no problems. I’m either all in or being lazy. I need someone to keep me accountable.

What about a challenge for “not eating the stupid easter candy at your co-workers’ desks?” Now, that is what I really need to be challenged on!!!!

Exercise is always my downfall, I give up on that quite easily usually. That and keeping to the healthy eats so that I don’t go back to old habits, working on gettting back to the healthy ways right now and always on that exercise!

That sound really cool, then every day when you do your regular post, you can put something at the end to see how everyone is doing on their challenge and ask them to post about it. That way, It’s a daily reminder for everyone to keep on with the challenge.

I’m certainly up for either. Water is all I drink but I don’t always drink enough of it. I’m not sure how I could improve on exercise anymore since I have worked out in some fashion for nine days straight, including four high intensity interval training sessions, which kick my behind in an awesome fashion. But I’d love to hear what you have in mind. Thanks!

How about water? I got really good at getting in my 8 glasses or more but then got out of the habit so I’m working my way back up to 8 again. (And I’m giving away some True Citrus products on my blog, which should help getting the water in…)

Well, for purposes of the water challenge, it’ll be strictly h20…no additives, but I know a lot of people LOVE products like that! It’s definitely a cool giveaway!

How much water are you drinking now?

There are many factors that go into how much water you need to drink. Just make sure you go to the bathroom regularly!
I use the old method for water..I drink when I am thirsty. As for exercise, since I am training for what appears to be a 10 mile, 13.1 and 26.2, in the span of three months, I think I am doing plenty! 🙂

I drink about a gallon a day, but the challenge wouldn’t be for everyone to drink a gallon. Instead, they’ll set their own goals.

The challenges probably just aren’t for you, but they might benefit others…congrats to you for not needing them…

I would love a water challenge. I read that you’re suppose to drink (in ounces) half your body weight in water daily. Um, I’m not there yet. Trying, but not there.

How about doing something everyday for 30 days in a row? I am really good for most of the week and then I don’t do anything for a few days. A challenge would really help me stay motivated for everyday movement. I also would benefit from the water challenge as I sometimes get lazy at work and don’t drink as much as I should.

Okay, count me in. I drink a TON of water, but cannot exercise with a ton of water in me! I try really hard to run 3-4x a week (2.5 miles). Need to lose 20 lbs. and the scale is not budging!

    I’m in for any challenge!
