Priorities and Time Management

I should not be blogging now because I have so much work to do.  I’ve been so focused on everything else in my life that I still haven’t made time to finish an assignment that my professor graciously gave back to me to redo. I also completely forgot that I have another midterm Thursday afternoon.  In addition to that I have a paper due Monday, and I realize that I have to shift my priorities a bit.

The next couple of weeks of my life are crucial, and I can’t mess around.  I need to shift my focus while finding a way to balance my healthy habits, and I feel overwhelmed.  I was up a pound at my weigh-in, but I did something completely dumb only a few minutes before weigh-in which makes me thankful that it wasn’t worse.  Maybe I’ll explain that later when I’m not in a rush.

I have made time to exercise, but I need to make better food choices.  I’ve been okay, but not great.  I can do better.  I will do better.  I matter, and I’m striving to prove that to myself by making healthy choices!

(Ignore the face.  I was just sending a sweaty, post-workout kiss to my “twitter crush.”  He digs intense workouts too!)

My plan for today is to study, study, study!  I have class and other responsibilities  as well, but today won’t be as full of those things as it typically is because I simply have to make the assignment and my mid-term my top priority.

October has felt like the longest month of my life, and I’m so ready for November to arrive!  So many great things are happening, and I’m so utterly thankful for my life!  I just have to keep pushing forward to get there.  I can’t wait!

How’s your week?  Does anyone else feels like October is dragging by?

I completely understand needing to focus on time management – heck, I’m sitting here with my text book on my lap while I take a “break” (getting the book out and opening to the current chapter is worthy of a break, no?) to catch up on my blog reading!

And the stresses of having to get a zillion assignments done by midnight tomorrow, plus keeping up with work and having a late meeting tonight…I’ve completely thrown exercising and mindful eating to the wind. Bravo to you for keeping exercising a priority! It is a great stress reliever and will help you retain all you’re learning.

October is flying by for me – mid-terms and Halloween are already here?!? Blink and we’ll be studying for finals!

Stumbled across your blog because you were linked in the attendees for last year’s Fitbloggin’ (and I’m thinking of going even though I’m scared of new people, etc). But I just wanted to say that your blog is awesome and your story is inspiring.

Thanks for writing, and keep up the rockin’ work.
