Friend Makin’ Mondays: ABC’s in 2013

I don’t know if anyone noticed, but I didn’t post much last week because I was sick.  I slept for twelve hours Friday night and did the same thing Saturday night, and I still don’t feel 100%.

I did make it to the gym, school and to my Weight Watchers meeting last week, and I’m glad I did.  I was down a little from my last meeting, but I need to do much more in the coming weeks.  I didn’t have anything more in me, but I think I’m on the mend now so maybe this week will be better.  I have finals though so better is relative, I suppose.

Anyway, it’s time for Friend Makin’ Mondays so let’s get to it.  Many of you asked for a longer version of FMM so get ready because this one will take some time.  I had a great time writing mine though, and I hope you do too.

FMM: ABC’s of Me

 Here’s how it works…you’ll choose topics about yourself, your likes, dislikes, etc.  according to each letter in the alphabet, and share a little with us. Oh shhh…you know you love it. 

A) Atlantis is one of my favorite vacation destinations. I love the Bahamas! I like Aruba too which also starts with an A.

B) I don’t have a boyfriend. Just saying.

C) I drink coffee sometimes now. I still don’t drink it regularly, but I drink it a lot more now than I used to.

D) Dad and I talk on the phone pretty regularly, and today I called to read him the scathing review that I wrote about one of my professors.

E) Exercise is an important part of my life, but I need to do much better with the eating part.

F) Friends make my life happy. I’m looking forward to hosting another game night at my place in a couple of weeks.

G) I own a Samsung Galaxy 3, and I really, really, really, really miss having an iPhone.

H) I’m happiest when the sun is shining and I’m around people I love.

I) I miss my iPhone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

J) Jazzfest started in New Orleans over the weekend, and I’d like to go next Friday simply to see Maroon 5. I’m in lust with Adam Levine. The Suit reminded me that most women are, but that’s not really the point. 😉

K) Knitting is one of my favorite hobbies.

L) I’d like to fall in love someday…the real and lasting kind.

M) My mom drives me crazy sometimes, but she loves me like crazy all the time. I love her too. =)

N) I love my niece more than I knew I could love a human, and I already knew I had the capacity to love a lot…

O) I ordered Richard Simmons’ Project HOPE, but I haven’t tried it yet. It’s sitting next to my bed, but it would be much more effective if I started following the program. The first week of it made me feel like it wasn’t right for me, but maybe I should try it before I decide.

P) Pearl Jam is my favorite band of all time.

Q) I didn’t feel well this weekend so I spent a quiet day at home Sunday. I didn’t leave all day.

R) I can’t get into the Real Housewives. I’ve tried watching it several times, but I think it’s ridiculous and pointless.

S) I’m loving the Crossfire series by Sylvia Day.

T) I think wearing a tiara is fun. 😉

U) I never seem to have an umbrella with me when it starts to rain. I had to go out a few weeks ago, and the rain was atrocious! A kind stranger, whose name was David, insisted that I take his umbrella. After insisting that I couldn’t take his umbrella, I did. I used it to run across the street to the valet, and a few minutes later he ran across the street too. His suit was soaked, but he smiled anyway and told me to keep the umbrella. He made my day.

V) I adore The Voice. I started watching it because a friend works for the show, and I’ve become totally obsessed with it. I’ve already mentioned my love for Adam Levine, but the truth is that I adore every part of the show.

W) Winter is over, but it didn’t feel like it when I flew into a blizzard a couple of weeks ago!

X) X is not my favorite letter in Scrabble, but it’s a good letter to have.

Y) I’m yawning a lot as I write this even though I slept sooooooooooooo much over the weekend. I’m still exhausted, and I’m hoping that I can breathe out of my nose again soon.

Z) I can’t wait to take my niece to the zoo over the summer when she visits.
